Press release from FMB

The Master Builder of the Year Awards, a nationwide search by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) to find the best builders in the UK, is unique. Nominations must come from satisfied clients, and builders are judged on their technical ability together with their customer service skills.
Ben Mitchell is the winner for his work on a property in Ticehurst, creating a modern yet traditional guest suite / studio. Ben claimed the region’s prize thanks to a keen eye for detail, unfailing good humour and bucket-loads of enthusiasm for the job.

Ben will now go through to the national finals. The national winners of the eleventh Master Builder of the Year Awards will be announced by architect and TV presenter George Clarke, who will present the coveted accolades at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on 20 March 2013.

Ron Willers, FMB Services Director for the Southern Counties, said: “This award gives clients the opportunity to thank their builder for going above and beyond the call of duty to complete the job and turn a potentially stressful experience into an enjoyable one. The standard of entries this year is amongst the highest we have seen and reflects the expertise, attention to detail and professionalism of the region’s builders.
“Ben should feel justly proud of his achievement in winning the award, and we wish him every success in the national competition.”
